The Christmas in Old Town Event happens in Portola on Friday, December 6 from 4:00 until 8:00 pm at the Caboose parking lot on Commercial Street in Portola. The festivities will include the popular Golden Ticket give-away for kids ages three to 16, a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., the Old Town Marketplace, a crackling bonfire, caroling, the city Christmas tree lighting, a light parade, food, drinks, and much more for the whole family. The Christmas parade will commence at 5:30 p.m. on Commercial Street with the Christmas Tree lighting starting at 6:15 pm.
