The 2025 Historic Longboard Revival Race Series returns this year with three fast-paced racing series happening Sunday, January 19, weather permitting. Registration for the event runs from 10 a.m. to 11:15 a.m., with the drawing of numbers occurring at 11:45 a.m. Racing will begin at high noon. The beloved event features 1860’s style, nine to 16-foot wooden skis, participants should dress in historic attire with leather boots, and authentic “dope” wax only. Prizes will be awarded. Entry fees for the event include a required Plumas Ski Club membership at $20, a $20 race fee for card carrying ski club members using private longboards skis and a $20 fee to use club longboards.
