MVID 2010 Celebration

The 2010 MVID Celebration “High Time in the Sierra”
Thu, Jul 1
Date of Event:Fri-Sun, July 2-4th
Once again, Graeagle is ready to feature our signature weekend holiday event: the Mohawk Valley Independence Day Celebration with this year's theme, "High Time in the Sierra."

Starting this FRIDAY night, July 2nd, Blairsden will be hosting its fantastic STREET DANCE featuring the Trash Gordon Band, food and beverage vendors and plenty of fun and excitement.

And back on track, this coming SATURDAY, July 3rd, our spectacular FIREWORKS show will light up the sky, but not before an exciting Civil War Battle at dusk. Families are invited to watch the fireworks show from the Civil War Camps on Saturday evening, or you can watch the show around the Mill Pond and nearby area. Food and refreshments will be available for purchase at the Mill Pond before the shows.

On SUNDAY, July 4th the 38th Annual MVID PARADE kicks off at 1:00 PM surrounded by the family friendly OLD FASHIONED DAY IN THE PARK celebration starting at 10:00 AM.

And, speaking of the 38th Annual MVID Parade, just wait to you see the line up! We have a long list of attendees on our MVID page, even a large handful who have managed to hand in their applications AFTER we went to press. Hey, it's hard to say no. But, it all means the party will be grander as it slowly lulls through town. Of course, we will be updating our list here to reflect late entries.

Also on SATURDAY and SUNDAY, soar high above Graeagle with a beautiful balloon ride over the Mill Pond from 8 am to 10 pm, weather permitting.

CLICK HERE for a complete MVID event schedule. And, don't forget to keep an eye on our Social Network, which includes our Facebook Fan Page and Twitter Blog, for "Live Updates" featuring event photos, video, and specials that we will be randomly announcing for those paying attention. Speaking of those specials, we already have received word from a few of our local merchants that they will be offering them throughout the weekend. So STAY TUNED to our website and feeds!

The easiest way for you to quickly be notified is to 'Like' our Facebook Fan Page or follow @graeagleworld on Twitter, then set your devices updates to "ON," while you are in town, and you'll be immediately notified and know where and when to take advantage of the specials.

A Couple Bucks Can Make A Big Bang
Thu, Jul 1
Date of Events:Fri-Sun, July 2-4th
If you have a few bucks to spare, please donate it to the Mohawk Valley Independence Day (MVID) fund and contribute to the fireworks display on Friday. Every year YOUR donation (even a few dollars) helps us support our annual event. You may have noticed the collection buckets in the local shops, and you'll see volunteers working in the crowds during the Friday pre-fireworks events, so if you can spare it, even a buck or two, they would truly appreciate it. You can also send in a check if you prefer. Make it payable to MVID, and mail it to P. O. Box 1043, Graeagle, California, 96103. Checks can also be mailed AFTER the event, as well.
