Tony
Martinez was born in Colorado, but was raised in Reno, Nevada where
he graduated from Ren o High School. He resided there until 1942
at which time he entered the US Air Force. His tour of duty lasted
33 years. During this time, he flew a U2 Reconnaissance Plane and
was a squad commander. He also was a wing commander in the Strategic
Air Command.

Following
his service career he returned to the University of Nevada Reno,
graduated and was in the insurance business until 1986 when he and
wife Jeannine "retired" to Clio CA.

He
now is president of the Rural Electric Coop. Board and chairman
of the Clio Public Utility District and is a civil air
patrol Squadron Commander at Beckwourth Airport where he is a flight
instructor. He has twenty senior members and twenty CA Patrol Cadets,
ages 12 18. Theses cadets will be marching in today's parade.
In
his spare time, Tony enjoys mountain biking, fishing and hiking.
