This event is sponsored by the Blairsden Merchants.   The twenty-eight MVID Committee honors the nine District Fire Chiefs as their Grand Marshals: Beckwourth, Chief Martin Schafer; “C” Road, Chief Toby Smith; Graeagle, Chief Dan West; Eastern Plumas, Chief Tom Tobiner; Long Valley, Chief Larry Sternberg; Plumas Eureka, Chief Lewis Prince; Portola, Chief Curtis Marshal; Sierra Valley, Chief Chuck Thayer; and Whitehawk, Chief Tom Vannoy.
